Beer Pharmacie is Coming to Syston

Calling all beer fans in the Syston area! You’ll be pleased to know that the area’s first micropub is opening this week and it looks like it’s going to be a good one!

The Beer Pharmacie cask and tap house is set to open on Thursday, December 20, in High Street, and it aims to bring a totally different drinking experience to customers. Drinkers will be encased in unique surroundings with a 1950s pharmacy theme – hence the name. So, think medical artefacts, equipment and macabre items from the era.

Being launched by two avid beer fans, Beer Pharmacie want to be at the heart of the community and hope that their combined 60 years experience in the industry will see them well.

Bob has 30 years’ experience of building and designing pubs restaurants, night clubs and bars, while Dave has 30 years’ experience in the trade, having run a night club, pubs and a hotel. He’s also helped at numerous beer festivals and is a member of CAMRA.

The duo will be providing a large drinks selection at this new venue, including good quality real ales, craft beers, wines and gins. They also hope it will be a great place to people to meet, socialise and relax.

There will be an ever-changing selection of real ales on hand pull and tap, as well as local wines from Rothley Wines and others handpicked by a local wine merchant. Customers will also have a wide range of gins to choose from.

Beer Pharmacie is set to open on Thursday, December 20, at 4pm, in time for the done-with-work, having-a-few-drinks crowd. They’re also launching as a dog-friendly pub which is a big selling point.

Opening hours (subject to change) will be Monday: closed (although it will be open Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve), Tuesday: 4pm – 10pm, Wednesday: 4pm – 10pm, Thursday: 4pm – 11pm, Friday: 12pm – 11pm, Saturday: 12pm – 11pm, and Sunday: 12pm – 2.30pm, and 7pm – 11pm.
