Leicester Beer Festival

The Leicester Beer Festival is just around the corner, and this year Real-Ale lovers are in for a treat. Not only is the CAMRA Beer Festival moving into an exciting new venue in heart of the city, but there is also a Fringe Festival happening at some of Leicester’s best-loved Real-Ale pubs

Haymarket Theatre

2018 is the first year that the Leicester Beer Festival will be held at the newly refurbished venue. This well-known city centre landmark provides excellent facilities, enabling CAMRA to put on an even better festival than ever before.

This Year’s Theme

This year’s theme is “The Theatre” which I’m sure will come as no surprise to anyone. A splendidly fitting theme to mark the reopening of the Haymarket Theatre and the new home of the Leicester Beer Festival.

Ales & Ciders

Everards of Leicestershire will again be the main supporter of the event, bringing with them their pop-up pub, serving 5 of their fine ales, including a new beer “Patriot” which has been brewed in cooperation with the LMS Patriot Project

Many microbreweries, both local and nationwide will be represented at this years’ festival. Between them, they will be featuring over 250 different cask ales as well as 40 traditional ciders and perries.

CAMRA is also negotiating with local breweries to have some one-off brews with a theatrical theme.

As in previous festivals, there will again be a continental and UK bottled craft beer bar, as well as a speciality gin and prosecco bar featuring 50 different gins.

Food

An ample variety of both hot and cold food will be available, including the famous curries that the festival has become well known for.
