They also serve a great selection of food including sandwiches made with locally baked bread and Belgian waffles. Their true calling though is gelato and they believe coffee and gelato to be a winning combination!

With ethics and morality at the heart of this coffee shop, it opened 2 years ago as a social enterprise project. Now popular for their fresh coffee and tasty food, all of the cafes proceeds go to supporting Open Hands Trust; a Leicester charity who help people in need.

St Martins Square is known as a hotspot in Leicester and if you’re wanting to take in your surroundings with a cup of coffee then look no further than St Martins Tea & Coffee Merchants. The coffee is extra fresh because it’s roasted at their own roastery, just 10 minutes away!

If you’re after a truly high quality cup of coffee then you’ll be drawn in by the 100% Arabica beans at The Coffee Counter, which are all roasted on site. As well as using these at their own place, this coffee shop also supplies other local businesses with the beans to increase the quality of and passion for coffee in Leicester.

With more and more people looking for vegan and dairy-free options, it’s no surprise that The Pantry is proving popular. Their menu changes daily so there’ll always be a tasty new dish to try and their coffee specialities include turmeric lattes.

The main selling point of this hidden gem is their vegan afternoon teas, which run monthly. They cater to a wide variety of dietary requirements though, including vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free.
